The Borno State Ministry of Education, Science, Technology and Innovation (MOESTI) is a critical government body in Borno State, Nigeria, responsible for formulating and implementing policies on education, science, technology, and innovation within the state.   • Employment of thousands of qualified teachers, especially science teachers.

  • Construction of mega schools across LGAs to support displaced and vulnerable students.

  • Provision of free uniforms, books, and meals to encourage school enrollment.

Today, Thursday the 7th of July 2022, the Ministry of Education inaugurated its office for Adolescent Girls Initiative for Learning and Empowerment (AGILE) World Bank Program. Executive Governor of Borno State, who was represented by Hon Musa Inuwa Kubo said the intervention was timely and tasked the benificiaries on judicious utilization of the Funds.

BORNO STATE GOVERNMENT SETTLES 2022 WEST AFRICAN SENIOR SECONDARY CERTIFICATE EXAMINATIONS (WASSCE) FEES

Today Wednesday the 10th of August 2022, the Borno State Government has settled the fees for 2022 West African Senior Secondary School Certificate Examinations (WASSCE). This was contained in a press conference delivered by the Honorable Commissioner of Education Engr Lawan Abba Wakilbe at the Conference Room of Ministry Education HQ Musa Usman Secatriat Maiduguri.

This year, Government is paying Three Hundred and Twenty-Nine Million, Eight Hundred and Five Thousand, Eight Hundred Naira (N 329,805,800) out of which Two Hundred and Ninety-Five Million, Four Hundred and Fifty-Six Thousand, One Hundred and Fifty Naira (N295,456,150) is for the settlement of State and Local Governments share which is a subsidy of 75% of the Examination fees for 21, 827 students studying in public schools across Borno State, alongside an outstanding amount of Thirty-Four Million, Three Hundred and Forty-Nine Thousand, Six Hundred and Fifty Naira (N34,349,650) for the year 2018
